I feel terrible at the moment. My daughter purchased a new horse at the beginning of June this year from someone who I thought we could trust. He is not the horse that we thought he was and as he was described. My daughter is a novice and this horse is NOT! He hadn't had much work for 12 months due to his owner being pregnant so was quiet - ish but he soon changed when worked for a few weeks being fizzy but not totally naughty, easy enough for an experienced rider. The people won't take him back.
My daughter took the decision to place him with somone for schooling and getting ready for sale. To cut a long story short he has been there for about 7 weeks and now looks like skin and bone!!! She can't take him as she now has a new horse and no stable. We HAVE to find somewhere for him in the next few days, I can't sleep at night worrying about him. He can come here but he would be on his own out at night in the field as my girls will be in and that doesn't sort the problem as I don't have a spare stable. If any of you think you can help please PM me. She is prepared to lose alot of money so that he can have a loving home.
Thanks

At the risk of starting a fight, put him on Project Horses asap. What a darn shame, hope you can find a good place for him. Surely your daughter is paying for him to be at the selling livery? So why not just move him to another yard and have him looked after properly for a while? You can't leave him there, and probably ought to report them to the ILPH by the sound of it.

Hubby away till tomoz so nothing to pull my trailer. He will be collected tomoz!! Even if I have to borrow a pony from my friend as a companion, he will have to come here.
He has been on grass livery and schooling so my daughter hadn't had to pay as much but this has gone on long enough! I'm so mad as well!
Just posted on here for help, I know this is a bad situation but it will be sorted!
Thanks.

Yep, you posted for help, my contribution is to suggest put him on Project Horses. Good luck, I hope it all works out well for you.

Well done for sorting it.

Woeisme

why put him on project horses?? he is poor and the op owns the horse why would she pass him on when by the sounds of it he needs to be thrown in a field for abit instead of been passed around.

Couldnt your horses stay out at night to keep him company until you get him in better condition and find him a nice home?
The people doing the "schooling" need reporting, thats not on!!
Try intelligent horsemanship maybe someone is looking for a project.

hes fizzy so basically hes a experienced ride to which her daughter is a novices so why send him as a project? all he needs is a experienced knowledgeable home who will give him TLC he needs

Thanks for all your comments. He just needs a warm stable, food and love NOW!, he isn't in any condition to sell, I just need help very quickly, hence my post.
Looks like my friend is going to have him as she has spare stables. Fingers crossed!! Poor boy.
Will let you know what happens tomorrow.
