As title really . A few months ago I realised my relationship with my beautiful, but aquired by accident, TB mare was going nowhere and I had become a slave to her but had not the confidence to ride her to her full potential so I decided to try and find her a new home. With the market being the way it is and needing a companion for my other horse I decided to advertise for a swap, Anyway , the long and the short of it is Kiri is off to a lovely new home with jade and her family and I have tucked up in her old stable the most adorable totally chilled out 2yo section D colt. Not what I was looking for but it was love at first sight ( I never grew out of ponies) and atm he will be a companion but will become a hacking horse for my OH who is totally smitten (not bad as all other horses are called mules!!!!)Promise pictures tomorrow.

wow that sounds like a result for all concerned, we def need to see pics of young coblet. My YO bought a 2/3 yo sec D filly and then backed her, shes a lovely mare. well done you!congrats!

Ooooh how exciting! :)
Glad your girl has found a nice new home & hope you have lots of fun with your new boy!
Can't wait for the pictures!

Congrats!

I've got 2 D's. Bought them both when they were the same age as yours. Handle him and play with him as much as you can, and by the time he's ready to back he'll be easy!

I made the mistake of not doing that with my first one, but played with the 2nd and the difference in breaking them in was 'chalk and cheese'!

They are great fun

Looking forward to seeing piccies!!
