Well, for all you who follow my threads and tales of woe and confidence issues I actually rode bareback today!!! I had been lunging him and doing little jumps when one of the girls watching said have you ever ridden him bareback. To which I replied are you mad, I am a nervous wreck. Anyway we have been bonding well recently and really regaining the old confidence so decided to go for it. I was on the lunge so no big deal for some, but amazing for me and such a wonderful feeling. I really really enjoyed it and we even went for a trot andand I found it so easy to sit to, unlike working with a saddle and no stirrups (no canter yet, but give me time!!) So I am full of the joys of spring and really really happy!!!!
