OMG I'm such an idiot!

We have some fairly tame robins at the yard so I took a tub of mealworms down to feed them.
I left the tub tucked away in the corner of my stable.
This morning I arrived to find my pony with her foot through the lid of the tub!.
Luckily she's a sensible girl and was just stood there waiting for me to take it off her.
Checked carefully for cuts, swelling and heat and luckily she seems fine (trotted up and was totally normal).
I am kicking myself for being stupid and leaving the tub in there. I'm so thankful she is a sensible girl and didn't panic.
Won't be doing that again!

No - I don't think she ate any - the mealworms were all in a pile on the floor (further reassuring me that she didn't panic otherwise they'd be scattered all over the place)

I had a 5 yrs old shire x, get her foot stuck in a kangoo feed skip handle the once, how she managed that I'll never know! ESP as her feet were huge. Couldn't get the bloodily thing off either, and to carefully cut it off with a Stanley knife, she didn't panic either, god knows how long she had it her foot too.

Silly horse and stupid owner (me) thinking it would be ok to leave feed buckets in overnight. No harm done though
