My lorry passed its test today! It is my first lorry and i have only had it 8 months. My husband took the week off to get it ready and change a kingpin on it. It passed this morning and its only cost £49 for the test and £42 for the kingpin!
Silly post i know but after everyone on here saying how much their lorries cost to get plated i was seriously thinking i wouldnt be able to afford to keep it. I know it might not be the same next year but hey ho, i am a very happy bunny today!!

YAY - it's such a nervous time before they go in and such a HUGE relief when they pass.

Which reminds me I promised mine a new coat of paint if she passed and I've actually only got as far as painting the ramp.

Yay, know how you feel, I was so proud of old bluebell the bedford when she got through, amazingly she passed her emissions with flying colours!

Congratulations, always a relief when they pass, mine goes in week after next, but dad is a mechanic so he does all the work on it before hand, but fingers crossed it doesn't need much doing........

We take bets each year as to whether our 1980 Bedford will pass. It passed again in June (I even asked test guy if he'd read the right sheet!) so has earn't another reprieve!

Was only saying the other day it's only cost about £1500 in the 14 years we've had it and that includes tyres
