It was on Dunkirk Lane in Leyland (just up from my old yard) a low loader clipped a mare on her back leg, but it was too badly damaged and she was put down today at Leahurst. Rider was unhurt.

This horse had earlier in the week double barrelled her owners dad in the face and he is hospital, she has caused him some serious damage.

Bit shocked at the mo, as this was the horse who killed my Leo 2 years ago
My favorite picture of Leo:-

This seems to be happening more and more. I dont leave my yard without looking like a christmas tree.

Sorry to hear about your horse too

Poor mare - the number of horses being hurt & killed on the road is simply unacceptable.
Poor Leo, I remember that whole incident, a horse was put down at my friends yard this week after a kick to the elbow, mare that did the kicking seems to have a history of kicking others

What happened to Leoxxx

Leo was turned out in the indoor school xmas eve with her friend Trevor (we had the indoor booked) I was running late (been to see grandparents) and one of the girls on our yard turned her two out, within seconds they had pinned Leo in a corner and they ended up fracturing her leg. Leo and Patsy had been kept seperate all summer as they fought, god knows why this girl thought nothing would happen if she put them in the indoor together. I got there just as they had managed to get her out of the indoor on 3 legs - it was really awful, my worst xmas ever.

And this is how I ended up with Madam May! Went back to see Leo's foal, saw May and ended up bringing May home 3 days later!

Stupid Idiot!

I cannot believe the stupidity of some people and who has to make up for it- you, me and everyone else with at least a single brain cell in this world!!

The light at the end is of course "Orange one, free to good home".

OMG Lisa, although not a nice thing to say, it seems karma has caught up with her

I do hope the dad is OK, what a bloody nasty thing to have happen - do hope he makes a full recovery xxx

Your Leo looked beautiful.

Poor neddie, although I agree with Weezy that her karma has caught up with her, but it still isn't nice

Some people really are stupid, both driving too close and turning horses out that they shouldn't

Hi, i believe she wasnt a police officer but she worked for the police in some capacity. It was on platt Lane in westhoughton if thats where you mean? the accident didnt actually happen on the corner it was on a straight bit of the road. Cant go into to much detail but the decision not to prosecute beggars belief.
