OMG! Just look at her poor legs!

I agree the photos are shocking but I for one think she deserves a chance...I am sure they know alot more than I do and will do the right thing, PTS seems to be the formulaic answer for all issues on this forum!

I reckon the professionals involved probably know more than us so let them get on with it. I am quite sure they will pts if she does not to well post surgery, sometimes yuo have to take a chance.

But that would mean it had got to a point where it would be cruel to keep her alive because she was suffering so much and she would end her days in pain, whereas atm she is fairly happy and healthy so better to pts now than later

The research on the outcome of cutting contracted tendons is mixed. If the horse is born contracted the prognosis post op is poor. If the horse develops contractions age 4-6 months then the prognosis is reasonable. But to consider cutting tendons after 3 years..... *headexplodes*

so prognosis probably isn't great huh? I wouldn't try personally but that's just me.

I really hope your little filly comes right as well. I'll cross my fingers for you :)

poor flipping horse :( they really need to put it out of its misery :( downright cruelty considering putting it through goodness knows what to get the legs right - give her a nice few days then end her pain for good - dont put her through potentitally years more pain for something that will probably not work anyway :(

Just wondering when we are going to start putting humans to sleep to end their apparent stupidity?

Seriously, humans should be saved from suffering such a lack of brains and compassion. It would be the kindest thing to do. Poor stupid humans.

Oh dear god, poor little mite. Why hasn't she been pts. This to me is not rescueing just prolonging and putting a mare though hell. Don't agree one bit with this

After three years of suffering like this the likelihood of the filly ever being able to have any quality of life is practically nil. Far kinder to put her to sleep asap. Good way to garner donations; not kind to the animal. Shameful.

So awful for both this filly and the horse in the WHW video. How can people do this?

Harsh as it may seem I'd pts as well. Putting a filly like that back on box rest after having her first taste of freedom from the initial confinement strikes me as a horrendously cruel thing to do to her.

I'd give her a few days out on the grass provided she isn't in pain or suffering and then let her go. Poor little love, I hope they don't put her through surgery and box rest only to decide to pts later on. :(
