Omg, went to Sparsholt today for the British Novice and was umming over whether to do the 90cm, and Mark Todd walked past...couldnt believe my eyes - my biggest idol!!! He seemed such a nice guy and had such stunning horses!!!

Did anyone else go???

Oh no I missed him!! I shouldve been there! Hopefully we'll see him there agtain sometime :-)

How was the BSJA? Was it very crammed into the indoor arena- how did the course ride?

Yeh hopefully - I couldnt believe it was him, did a double take!!

Bsja was fab, they were very busy today - had 40 in the 1m class! 30 in the 90! Indoor wasnt crammed at all, course very well built and rode fab, my boy loved it in there, really roomy and forward going course! Their next shows will be in the outdoor arenas which looks like will be fab!

Lol Golden - I dont think I even come up to his waist!!

OB - Def see you there, we will ef be at the 17th April show, they are a really friendly bunch who run it! Hopefully Toddy will show his face again too, was very exciting, to be in the presence of such greatness!!

Ahh nooo!!!

It was so amazing to watch him, and he seemed like such a nice person!! Hopefully he will go again when you are there! Are you going to summer shows there?

hopefully! I need the practice! The outdoor school looks fab for them too, think it will be better practice for me, though more people to see me fall off! U?

I know what you mean - I cant remember the last time I jumped mine outside, but my goal for this year is to jump a Newcomers by the end of the season, so think their outdoor will be perfect for him as it is so big and roomy! I really enjoy their shows, such a nice atmosphere and really lovely facilities there!

Lol, I remember when I was 16 (back in the mid-90s), he was my biggest idol, actually still is. I was grooming at MKEC I think and was walking across the horse box past when I saw him walking towards me. I did the whole weak at the knees thing, then he said "hello" (BE being a friendly lot!) and I nearly fell over! Managed a weak "hello" back.

Saw him at a few events after that and loved watching him in the warm-ups. He always seemed to have a horse that looked very average tied up to the box, but once he was on they looked amazing, seemed to grow a couple of inches and look so relaxed. I'd happily have the talent he has in his little finger!
