OMG, my horse has been tagged with a plait!

My boy is Highland x TB and I am not jealous of your pure Highland, I am not jealous of your pure Highland, I am not jealous of your pure Highland, I am not...................

Sorry, I know I'm missing it, but why is this funny? I understand you're making a joke about the horses who's manes are being braided as a sign to steal them, and that you're horse's tangles aren't braids...

or is that the joke- was there never such a thief and people who thought there was were naive enough to believe that tangles = braids and intent to steal?

I'm still not up on the whole UK humor thing :| Sorry!

Mosmum - taking the P is the rather the point ;) As native pony explained there is a huge urban myth going round about horses being 'tagged' for stealing with plaits. Because people are getting hysterical and seem to genuinly beleive that they are done by someone wanting to steal the pony (or, much more likely, are attention seeking ;)), Yet noone ever seems to come up with any evidence, nor photos to show their 'man-made' tagging plaits. THESE are the plaits people are seeing - wind tangles.

The one nativepony posted is more obviously a wind plait but pipers black on is pretty impressive. I think I'll keep it and cultivate it :D

As for those crisitsing my shackles. How very dare you!! I spent a fortune getting them from Paint and here you are insinuating that my horse is a heffalump who will destroy them. Grr

P.s the higland ponies are not for sale janah. ;) And are well guarded for those who feel they may wish a new life with them......
