omg at long last still a long way to go yet she might not be the closest mach
shes been coaled up twice before
3rd time luckey as they say
 
How long has she been waiting if you don't mind me asking? My husband's kidney's are deteriorating at just 38 and he's having weekly checks and some new drugs now to try and slow the deterioration to avoid dialysis as long as possible. Just wondered when it comes to that what sort of wait there could be, assuming a match is ever found.

Re-waiting lists, I understand it's more to do if you are a suitable match for the donor that has become available.

Sometimes a donor gives all organs, but if there are no suitable recipients on the list then the organs go to waste.
It is regrettably a lot to do with luck.

she has been waiting 10 yrs
and survived on dynalises for that long
sometimes people wouldnt think my mum has nothink rong with her she has led quite an active life she mucks out every day but you have to keep to a very strickt diert if people dont stick to it then they can be very ill
 
WOW, best of luck to your Mum. My youngest son has ARPKD so I know the difficulties and the heart ache.
