OMG organising and running shows is NOT easy!!!!

If anybody ever says organising and running shows is easy, dont beleive them its very hard work!!!!!! I have the swollen feet to prove it!!!!

Although hard work though it went very smoothly, everybody had a good time and postive comments alround!!! No injuries, only one faller, which considering we had 7 jumping classes i was quite impressed!!!

My daughter managed to get a first( ididnt judge this class either:D) She done the dressage but wasnt placed as i judged this and though it wasnt fair as i would have marked her 10/10 for everthing but it was the experience that counted!! And 2 3rds in jumping!!! Will put the pics on soon.


Then we had a chase me charlie which they made me do on a mad teenagers pony!!!!!:eek: Only went up to 1.20:eek::eek: Now i used to jump that all the time but not for about 10years on my BSJA horse before i had a baby and realised getting hurt and falling off isnt fun!!!;)

But all in all very successfull and lots of money raised for new jumps!!! But im very very tired now!!!!!!!

Yer i can imagine, we had a tack and turn out first in hand on the yard, 2 dressage in the morning then at lunch time the 7 jumping classes started, it was fun but alot of running around and organising!!! But was definatly worth it enjoyed by all!!!
 
Yep- my mum also runs an ODE, which is the first proper one of the season round here for the PC and you get so much hassle and stress!

Sounds like you both had a lovely day though- and say a big well done to your daughter!
 
Hope you got some wine & choccies from everyone for running the show! Be careful though, now you've run one, they'll expect you to keep running them in future! We have our yard show next week so wish me luck as I'm one of the organisers! We're only doing dressage & showing this time though - no jumping.
 
He he yer got some choccies, eating them now! :p I know there already talking bout a Xmas gymkana!!! :eek: Yer its hard work but ran really well and had lots of thankyou's. And nobody questioned my judging, everybody seemed pleased with the results!!! :)

I dontmind so much cos my daughter gets to do it, espeacially nice for her around people she knows!!
I just wish i hadnt used all my holiday days at work now as i could do with a day off tommorow!!! :(
