I know it's old, but I just can't believe a horse did this to itself. BROKEN BRITAIN!!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
 
Why is it sad?

This happened in 2008 and the filly was fine.....?!
 
It was proably lured into a trap - i bet someone left sugar cubes in there. All that so they could get a good picture. :mad: Atleast the horse is okay now.
 
Maybe someone was hiding in the tree! Luring it over with carrots, then pulled it's head in? :D

Or maybe it just wanted to look in and got stuck, was freed a short while later and is now fine.
 
I'm really shocked how some posters here don't seem to care :confused: The horse had an awful ordeal and you make it sound like it went for a trot in the park.

This sentence doesn't make any sense, sorry :confused: How can you tell from one still shot that it wasn't upset? You can't see it's face. It might have been really distressed and calmed down for 5 seconds when this photo was taken.
 
LOL OP, what a joke! I can GUARANTEE you my youngster would do that, and then would just sit there and be like, er, mum? I'm stuck....

Horses are just a bit like that!!

I must be one of those heartless people, because I don't get what is so terribly disturbing about this? Horse got stuck, someone heard, horse was freed & is fine. End of. You want to talk about disturbing? Maybe you should look here.

There are plenty of things to get worked up about other than a horse that got itself into a predicament 3 years ago and escaped with no serious injuries.

I think you must be on a wind up mission though...
