This is prob a bit self indulgent but I'm so excited!!! We went to Keysoe yest to do the PN (our 2nd this season) and had a fab day!
I was a bit worried about the ground before we got there but it wasn't as bad as expected and sj on a surface always helps.
Anyway, he did a very good dressage, only 1 big spook (!) and scored 33.3, judge seemed to be marking hard as there were only a few scores in the 30's rest 40+.
The show jumping is my issue so I was over the moon that we jumped a controlled, balanced round with no hairy moments and not much spooking (ginger beast is v spooky!!!). Had 2 uprights down (my fault).
Onto the XC, 2 fences worried me, the corner and the skinny after the drop. Needn't have worried, Bren was a super star, looked at a few things but with encouragement jumped everything really happily and really enjoyed himself. Lots of pats and hugs when we finished!!!
Went to the scoreboard to see how I'd done and nearly collapsed....I came 5th (even with my sj's down!!), I truly never thought we would get placed at PN as its so competitive, its done my confidence the world of good and am now really looking forward to Holdenby (and a winter of sj practice!!!
)
Well done if you've got this far!! Also got OH to upload some pics of yesterday (these are our 1st pics on the forum!)
Thank you for reading!!!
