I've just made a little trip to the post box and posted a little envolope.

In that envolope was an entry for Herbies first prelim dressage test  Can't believe i'm actualy going through with it theres no backing out now :o
The show is this Sunday so atleast theres not to much time to stress about it. :o
I was going to have a little practice today but it's peeing down :( I'm hoping it will ease off in a bit as the only other day I can school him is Wed and we could do with doing today as well. ;)

Not only will Sunday be his first Prelim test it will also be our first time warming up with other horses (Could be intresting) and his first ever time in an indoor school. (warm up is out doors and test is indoors) Please could we have lots of good luck vibes if anyone has any spare. I still can't believe we are doing this who'd have thought it three years ago when I was posting things like this.

Yay! Im sure you and herbs will be fine considering how far youve come! Good luck and will look forwards to the report after :-) x

Good luck!! I am doing my first dressage test (well, first for about 15 ys!) on Sunday too! Sounds like you have come a long way with your boy, well done :)

I have stuck post-it notes round my living room as markers and have been learning my test by doing it on foot in the house. OH thinks I'm crazy

I'm taking my gingerface to her first prelim Sunday too so totally understand :) tell u what, I'll worry about u for you, & you worry about me & so neither of us will worry about ourselves :D :D

You will be fine, as will the horrid one who am convinced is related to my black pony....(also an evil forest bred monster...)

Thanks guys.

LJN I do that to :o Good luck on Sunday. :D

ElleSkywalker :D Good Idea. I'm much better at worrying for other people. I don't get so stressed ;) :p Good luck on Sunday I'm shore you'll do fine as well. Maybe Horrid and black pony are related ;) :p :D :D

You will be ok as long as you dont have what Liesel and I had in our first dressage test and first time in indoor school - cake sale at A...!!!!!!!!!!!! (yes really, and Liesel is a Haflinger so you can imagine the rest, not sure if she spent more time trying to neck the traybakes or more time staring at herself and yelling at her reflection in the mirrors on the long side and corners.....:-DDD

Have great great fun with Herbie!!

lachlanandmarcus I hope they don't have a cake sale  Herbs will probably just stop and refuse to move till he has some cake  ;) :p :o

Sprout thanks. We are going to the fortune centre at bransgore. So not to far if we need to make a dash for home ;) :p

Good luck Laura - I'm sure you will be fine and even if he is a little bit naughty look on it as another experience. You've both come so far that I'm sure you will be able to cope with it just as well as you have coped with everything else.

Thanks guys. :D
I schooled him today and he was a git  I was schooling him in the rain which didn't help but he had his 'make me do it' attitude today :( We did do some lovely work in the end so it wasn't all bad. :D

ElleSkywalker hard to tell. Do you know her breeding?

JFTD Merryns doing ok thanks. I'll do a proper update on him when I get the chance but I think it was the grass making him go mad. :( I rode him in the school today and he didn't buck me off, so thats progress ;) :p :D :D

Good luck Laura! Have fun (y'know? fun? it's what it's meant to be!) don't forget to breathe, and of course we need pics and a full report.

Lachlanandmarcus I laughed my head off at 'cake sale at A'. Whatever next? Jumble sale at C? Farmer's market at X? Car boot at E? Sounds like dressage meets LeTrec.

LW I don't know her breeding, notfor want if trying! She came off the forest in April 2003 as a weanling (possibly.very late 02 or very early 03 foal)

One if her parents was a dilute as she & her foal are smokey black :)

Attitude & horridness wise she is very similar to Herbie :D

She did however used to love going go dressage parties & always behaved well, so fingers crossed for you :D :D

Glad it sounds like it's something easily sorted and nothing serious :)

gala  Fun what's that ;) :p :D As long as he doesn't kill anyone I'll be happy. It does say in the rules that 'any horse deamed to be a danger to others will be asked to leave the show ground' They must have heared we were coming ;) :p :o

ElleSkywalker Thats a shame. But as she came off the forest they are probably related in some way. Merryn and Herbie have the same greatgrandad :D Sounds like she was born at the same time as Merryn, He's lovely most of the time though ;)

Nah thankyou :)

JFTD Thanks I'm glad to. I was worried it was his eyesight :(

Thankyou redmone. Don't think theres much chance of that. Herbs falls over if I ask him to canter round a corner :o I realy shouldn't enter these things on the spur of the moment ;) Herbs is in for a shock I'm shore he thinks he's a jumping pony now after all the jumping shows we did this summer :D

YAY :D :D This is great news you will both be fine... just remember to breath ha ha I shall be looking forward to the report afterwards and piccies are a must haha.

Exciting times and this is just the beginning Im chuffed to bits for you.

:D :D :D
