OMG! What to wear?!

OK, I have kept this quiet but am now starting to panic and need advice!

A well known horsey magazine are sending a photographer and an expert out to meet me and my pony next week for a feature they're doing on slimming down fat horses!!

I don't know what to wear!!! I don't think they'll want any ridden pics (god, I hope not

) but should I still wear jods? and what colour? beige? riding boots or muck boots? coat? jumper? Gilet? eeek all my riding jumpers are from Primark!

I think ponio needs a new headcollar too, as his is scruffy

umm, i think they might want ridden pics, so i'd have jodhs there to change into. it's bound to be freezing, and a smart jacket done up to the neck will hide your jumpers! i'd wear navy or black jodhs, personally, cos they're more slimming, but you may not be as self-conscious as me! a new headcollar would be a nice touch.
 
I would wear my mark todd breeches (so smart breeches not beige I wouldnt have thought) and a Joules jumper with a gilet or something with my boots and chaps on. And put a leather headcollar on my horse prob - hope that helps

Agree with Kerilli, and would add - make sure you do not ride in muckers or the like - will look awful. Clean your boots up and your chaps (if that's what you ride in normally).

And agree - a nice new headcollar will look fab.

How exciting!!
 
Well I'm going to wear navy breeches and a joules top/smart jacket for when I strategically position myself and my horse behind you when the photo's are being taken

You HAVE to wear your pink jacket (providing you didn't get it too dirty at the weekend..oops!)
 
Now I am REALLY worried they're going to want ridden pics! I am the WORST rider ever! OMG! And my chaps and boots will take some cleaning after being dragged through a muddy field when I fell off yesterday.

OK, so I have black jods so that's that sorted. My boots and chaps are also black, my boots are black riding trainers, a bit like these: http://www.derbyhouse.co.uk/prodshow.asp?id=2744&cat=3&scats=73,42 will they be OK?

I'm sure the afore mentioned pink jacket might make an appearance! Needs a wash though!

Don't be so daft - there is nothing wrong with your riding. So long as you don't do any sharp turns you'll be fine

The boots look fine, and assuming your chaps are suede type ones just chuck em in the washing machine, mine come up really good. It's really exciting, just think you and Murphy will be famous!
 
Don't worry about the ridden pics. Usually in the mags like Horse & Rider / Horse / Your Horse, they like their "leisure" pics so they'll probably just take photo's of you poodling along a country lane or something!

You'll be fine - look forward to it!
 
Lucky you - I'm sure you have nothing to be worried about!

I think the most important thing it that you, your horse and yard is as tidy and well presented as possible.
