Don't know why I am shocked, probably more disappointed and it is still snowing quite heavily!!!

Anyone else woke up to snow and will struggle to see their horses this morning?

yep loads in Derby, meant to be going to Chatsworth with the Bloodhounds but instead I think I'm just going to struggle to get to the yard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, woke up to white shite everywhere

I obviously haven't been paying attention to the weather forecasts because I was shocked this morning when I woke up to find pretty deep snow, had a good inch or so in the past hour, I am so fed up.
I have a lot of important work to get done this week and I don't think it is going to happen with this snow.

Yep loads of snow in Derbys and still snowing...it was a positive blizzard at 6.30am...could barely see where I was walking. Horse not too impressed either! Luckily my lad is local walking distance but I have to try to get water to the field later, as water butts are dry now...wish this snow was rain!

me gutted too - supposed to be at kingswood doing dressage - cant get there - always have to work sundays so to get a sunday off to compete then find its snowed and cant get there! gutted

Aren't there alot of us in Derbys/ Staffs! Yes loads in Belper and still coming down. No chance of seeing my horse today at all!

We don't have that much but in a way it's worse....it's deep enough to hide any holes so can't ride but not so deep I can't get to work, it will just take an hour longer than normal which I can't afford

I was going to Doncaster to a flyball comp with my dogs today. Had to turn back 'cos of stupid weather. have posted in AAD.
I'm really fed up so can appreciate how you all with horses must feel.
It's gone on far too long this year.

I can see Chatsworth atm (or rather I can't as the snow is so thick!) and I don't think anyone will be making it, even the main roads here are dire.

we've got a couple of inches now & its still falling fast!
i like it tho, its a welcome break from all the mud!!

About 2 inches here, in sunny Manchester .... NOT. The roads have cleared since this morning but apparantly theres more forecast. Im sick of it now

You really are having a time of it aren't you? Still, at least you are used to it now and it's getting to be normal I should think. Life goes on, nothing you can do to stop it, short of moving somewhere sunny.

Meanwhile, Spring has arrived here for us, for today at least, bright sunshine, no snow for ages, what we have is melting fast and our temperatures have zoomed up to +3C.

Take care.
