Following on from a previous post about my mare being put into really long grass with no option to strip graze or introduce gradually. The mares were due to move into another field where the grass was even longer but I managed to speak to the YM who agreed that my horse would stay in the current field as her weight was going to be a problem. The grass in the current field is still really long but we are managing.
WELL!!!! Today, my boyfriend did his usual morning check of my girl only to find that the YM has moved ALL the mares including mine into the other field of long grass. I got in touch with the YM only to be met with a hostility and am now getting a hard time for being "difficult" and have been told my horse will not be allowed to stay in the "starver field".
I cant believe that she has completely disrepected my wishes after agreeing to it the other day. In the whole time I have been at that yard I have NEVER complained or caused any trouble with the YM and always do my share of poo picking, yard sweeping etc so I dont feel that I am being un-reasonable to have concerns that my horse should not be in this field.
Before today, I couldnt decide whether to leave or not but this is the last straw - I am outta there!
