Shoot me now but I think rather than lame it is loping???

Sort of half way house between trot and canter. I may be wrong though, and didnt watch any of the other videos to check

Only watched the walk to canter.

The reason it is so slow is because that horse is a western trained horse, hence why the long reins and the slow gait. You can tell immediately that it is western trained.

Yup, I know. I've ridden a couple of western horses. He just dosn't look right behind to me.

He doesn't look right even in walk he is not tracking up with the offside hind.

The girl is obviously insane she puts boots on the wrong way round and tied the poor horse up to the trailer without any bailing twine.

Someone should get her off the internet before anyone follows her instructions!

Stupid question but are "shin splints" the same as what we British call "splints"? If so why the hell did she put those boots on like that??! Plus, I didn't think you could prevent splints with boots? Hmm I also think these videos should be pulled before someone actually believes she knows what she is talking about and tries it themselves!

Why is she insane for not tying a horse up with twine? I think it states she has a quick release knot. I doubt I would see many people here tying up with twine to the lead. I did that once while my horses were being trimmed and my farrier and his friend laughed at me
That is why I love my calm easy going Quarter Horses. not a great deal of panic in them anyhow

It's like a car crash; I don't want to keep watching, but can't look away!

LMAO!!! I have to say I am finding her absolutely hilarious!!

Have to agree with you there Jade. I never ever tie up to anything but an immovable object; generally a fence or horseshoe concreted into the wall.......however I am still chuckling at some of her mishaps on those videos

.

Oh dear! Are they that awful!
tongue.gif
I wish my computer would let me watch them! I was only able to open the first one and a saddling up one! Am I missing a big laugh here!?

This kind of rubbish should not be on the internet!!! She says bell boots protect the cannon bone.... er how do they do that exactly?!?

I'm still gob smacked at saying a bit was a chin strap, but maybe I misheard her

Do ya think she meant curb chain?

Its a basic saftey rule over here to tie you horse to twine. If you never leave your horses side while its tied up I suppose you could tie it to something solid but even the quietest horse could be frightened by something and start throwing its self around and personly I would rather not have to jump over its thrashing legs to untie it.

annyhoo everyone does things differently allthough I'm not sure that they should do them as differently as those splint boots!

Yup she meant curb chain but its no surprise the horse didnt want to have the bit put in as she was trying to force it in with the curb chain already done up!

I know "why" it is done
smile.gif
I am simply saying that having a quick release knot or quick release strap/tie is just as effective for safety. In fact, I suspect it may be an even better and more fail safe method than twine.

I just tie mine to a tree
tongue.gif
good luck pulling that down in a panic
