Not *too* far from you in the grand scheme of things.. Im out in Derbyshire and its been awful all the week. We've got really strong winds and had a combination of hail, sleet and rain this morning

O hold on i see blue skies and the hail has stop how long do you reckon that will last! the sun has just gone in as i am typing! I live in glossop yeah but my horse is stabled down here in manchester! Horrid in glossop windy cold damp and genuinely miserable!

I think it may stay sunny my prays have been answered how quick was that!

I stable mine close to glossop - i'm sure it's got it's own microclimate. I'll be sitting at work thinking the horses will be playing out, and get to the yard to find there's been gales and storms! There's a big grey cloud behind me, so I don't think this sun will last too long...

Has been sunny here today, such a relief to be doing horses in the dry.

The raod that lead to stables is very watery at the far end, (we are just by a canal which is heaving)
Tomorrow... I dread to think! The yard is already 1/4 waterlogged by the gate and drain. The drain is under one of the stables which has lost roofing felt so is now closed as pony doesn't want to swim!
60 mph gales tomorrow, I dread to think if the roofs will hold.
It is so wet! Weather is crazy....

ETS: my typing is dreadful! I have got all letters confused and some words might be missing. No idea why except I am very tired!
