its shocking how much rain weve had recently. Dont really wnt to see the state of the fields when I get home. LAst week the river broke in 2 places and flooded 3 fields! luckily none of them were mine. Mine seems to stand upto the water quite well, but ive just put another 2 in there so ill have to see if theyve been looning around today!

I think its supposed to be drying up in the next few days! ***keeps fingers crossde***

about 8 years ago my yard was flooded and I had to wade though the water (waist high) and rescue a pony standing completely calmy with the water up to his belly. Horrid, i was soo stressed about getting to the horses as everywhere was flooded - all were okay though and seemed totally unconcerned. i want it to STOP RAINING NOW!!

I saw that newsclip too, horrendous. My daughter thought the poor horse was tethered. Hope somebody moves it soon. It has not stopped raining here since the early hours. Got neddies in about 8.00 am as they were shaking. Just put them out now with lightweight t/outs on for a bit of a leg stretch but suspect they might be in tonight. Our field is surrounded by trees which are blowing around very ominously and stronger winds are forecast for later. Don't think donkey has left his shelter all day, keep sticking his nose out to ask for more hay.

i bought my horse this morning to dry off, but iv had to put him out again cos i want to keep him in tonite and he gets stiff. dint think it was too bad til i got to his field - it was upto his knees and by then he was desperate to go out so i had to leave him! the pillock.
