OMW...RESCUE?...I THINK NOT

if everyone told the local MP police and RSPCA instead if just internet forums something should get done about it.

They have been reported to pretty much everyone, the WHW have removed 2 horses, the RSPCA didn't do much, just put them on an improvement order. Hopefully the more people who get involved it might make them want to do a little bit more for these horses.

They haven't got a bloody clue, have they? Heartbreaking to watch the videos, the website is laughable and mostly illiterate, and whatever sort of vet "doesn't have the equipment for gelding"? FGS!

So yes, I may be thousands of miles away now, but I would trust reports and comments by several of those on there - they aren't the ones wittering about TV or whatever either.

You call it wittering about TV, I call it diffusing a big argument that was ruining the whole purpose of the page.

They are not the sharpest tools in the box

Residents not resdents and Tourist not torist.

Dear me - I see that Clover is up for adoption - any takers?

I can tell you for a fact that, having lived locally, I personally know a large number of the people who have been active on this, at least one has adopted one of the ponies, and they are highly unlikely to fabricate anything, they'd gain nothing by doing so. They are people who call a spade a spade, but find out the real facts before they jump in at the deep end, and as a lot of them live very close by they will have been up there and seen the lay of the land for themselves.

i'm THE most "spades a spade" type as you know, A.....

That place is a shyte hole..and those poor animals must be experiencing a living hell ATM

I gave up watching the site weeks ago, I ask people I know for information directly without having to sift through chat and the backstabbing.

I don't care what they witter on about to be honest, wheels have been set in motion and progress is being monitored. As long as the 'wittering' keeps people on the site then there is no harm in it at all, all work and no play etc:)

I know and you wouldn't be you if you were any other way :) You get things done too, quietly, without all the flags and banners flying, there'd be a lot of horses worse off without you and people like you.

I know you've been involved with this place too, poor little beggars, they'd have looked better after a winter out on the mountain. It's a sad, sad state of affairs and I really hope they are not just going to continue elsewhere where they have left off in Brynamman.:(

So far they have been reported to

WHW
RSPCA
BHS welfare
Carmarthenshire Council
and the local MP

But they are still running and have moved on today, filled up a 3.5t box with all animals, broke down on the way and ignored offers of help with the transport situation. They're a bunch of money grabbing arse holes and I hope the lot of them rot!

i hope so too....at least they, SWAR are now known to the WHW....

I Agree, I know people like to get things done in different ways, some like to work behind the scenes and some like to shout from the rooftops.. as long as something is achieved at the end of it all then it's worth it. It's better than simply turning a blind eye. :(

There is clearly a problem with this organisation if they are keeping horses in a field with Ragwort. Anyone else would have sprayed the field and killed off and removed the Ragwort prior to putting the horses in the field.

Once the new location of the premises they are being kept at is known please inform all the charaties concerned so that they can keep an eye on the situation.

.

You would think so wouldn't you. I called at one near us which had been asking for donations. Looked very much the same as the one on this thread. Known to WHW and HAPPA but again nothing has been done.

So can anyone call themselves a "rescue centre" and ask for donations? I noticed the one in this thread isn't a registered charity. Is the one near you?
