Just a quicky report for me, since my fall at the start of April I have taken a little while to get going again, I been busy having lots of lessons and BS outings. Our fall dosent seem to have affected coo pony very much at all which is great, at least all my winter training has paid off but it has knocked me for six. Anyway due to one reason or another mainly the weather really I havent managed to get cross country practising since so I have had a good few weeks to build it up in my head and think about it. (A habit I must stop!)
So this morning, yes a bank holiday Monday my alarm went off at 5am to head to Gleneagles for a XC lesson with St Gatherer.
We started off in the school jumping some skinnies and St Gatherer quickly realised that I was riding backwards and just lost my mojo. For some reason coo pony felt a little stuffy today (was found this morning at 5.30am on the other side of his one acre special Magic paddock in the other 12 acres so may have had a full belly). Basically St Gatherer spent most of the lesson shouting kick it!!
which is a nice change to ponys recent behaviour!!

We headed out to the course I admit it took me till about half way around to actually relax and stop physically shaking. Not sure what I was worried about as he didnt look at a thing, once I got my rhythm, him forward of my leg and remembered to keep my weight back he was pinging and looking for the next fence. But he really didnt put a hoof wrong all morning. He was Magic!!
St Gatherer had a good exercise which will be interesting to see what you all think but he built a show jump in the water, not big but was good experience to jump actually in water and I found it hard to keep our momentum. This time last year I couldnt even get pony to trot in water so it proved to me how far we have come. Here is the video; ( you might want to turn volume down, St Gatherer did a lot of shouting at me!)
