twiggy2 you are right and he comes from Scotland. Currently smaller than the very small papillon he will be living with. He is from a purpose bred litter that has had all the necessary health checks done for both breeds and absolutely everything done to make sure the litter are well handled and used to as much as possible. Looking forward to seeing him grow up and hopefully meeting him next week.

Was he deliberately bred for agility, Errin, or deliberately bred just because it's a really nice cross?

I was going to say collie x pap but not because he looks like one but because I know it’s a popular cross for agility nowadays. He’s very cute!

I didn't know that, about it being a popular cross, I've no links to agility dogs and must admit I've previously wondered why some people manufacture certain types of crossbreeds. So interesting. I knew about breeding non shedding dogs for allergies etc that started umpteen years ago, then thought it just got to be a fashion thing to do. (Got the death stare off a proud owner once, and a simultaneous snorty snigger from a colleague (who is more canine aware than me) when I was told their dog was an a x b cross, and I just asked why! It was a genuine question but the owners were astonished I asked, but couldn't answer) Little dog looked like a ++ hyperactive (!) springer cross ready to explode.

@limestonelil people ask me all the time why is my dog ? I just laugh and answer F knows, I can only hope she was an accident (springer x pointer). Some mixes, like mine, are frankly bonkers.

Have been reading up on borderpaps since this thread though and they look very useful if they do what they're supposed to (and very very cute).
