Farrier approx £750 a year for one horse (thats being shod every 5 wks at £75 a time)
Vaccinations - £45 a time (i dont pay call out fee)
DIY Livery - £1800 a year
Worming - approx £45 a year
Teeth - approx £45 a year
Physio - approx £160-£200 a year
Saddle Fitting - approx £150 a year

So around £3000 a year, not uncluding emergancy vets bills, competitions, lorry hire/maintanence if you have your own, plus anything else that might go wrong.

Per year

Livery - £1300 for DIY (including hay & bedding)
Farrier - £350
Worming - £48
Insurance - £120 (was £360 before he turned 20)
Food - £60
Supplements - about £300-350 (eeeek!)

Total - £2200ish a year

Can't think of anything else, but sure I will have missed somethings...

DIY livery £1040
Hay £350
Feed/Supplements £300
Bedding £550
Wormer £60
Farrier £630
Injections £50
Physio £135
Dentist £90
Insurance £350

Total £3555

In addition to this there are extra vet's call outs, tack, rugs, lessons, competition entries, transport costs so probably ends up being £6000 or more...

I reckon about £2000 a year for my 14hh native (good doer) on DIY livery including livery, vaccs, insurance, hay, feed, farriery, bedding, worming.

for part livery in surrey you're looking at about £7500 inc shoeing and insurance! dear god, I feel quite faint.....

I have 2 on full livery - started to add it up and couldn't bring myself to continue! No wonder my bank manager is often "unhappy" lol

Takes a deep breath...

Part Livery £3900
Farrier £520 (based on £60 every 6 weeks)
Worming £75
Vaccinations £50
Teeth £50
Supplements £300
Insurance £1000

That's per horse....and we have two plus a pony on working livery

Then add entry fees at about £1800, Lorry Tax at £165, Lorry Insurance at £300, Diesel at £750...

Eeek !

Personally.... it doesn't cost me much i mean probably about £100 a year i spend on Blue and Holly.... but then i am very lucky!

Pulls up and chair and sits down ...

Full Livery: £3900.00
Shoes: £554.00
Vaccinations: £75.00
Insurance: £550.00
Wormers: £100.00
Feed Supplements: £180.00
Teeth: £25.00

The above does not include any tack shop visits which can range from £2 to £300, any additional vet visits, emergancy vet visits, saddlery checks/fittings or the cost of me getting to the yard i.e running my car ...

Hb

And I dont even leave the yard to go to competitions!

£5200 a year for full(assisted) livery for two plus shoeing and worming and tack and vets and insurance etc etc .

Scarey but oh so worth it.

currently have two horses (trying to get one out on loan), but for a year for two:

Working livery = £4800
shoes = £900
Assorted goodies i buy = £200 ish?

+ vets etc

Roughly about £3500 on a DIY livery for a welsh section c without lessons, competitions and extras but as my friend who owns the yard doesnt make me pay any livery thats reduced to £2200 for me!!

As I'm new to horse owning I'm not sure I want to see a years figure's in front of me but here goes:
Part livery: £2400
Full livery for hols: £100
Hay and straw: £720
Hard feed: £300
Insurance: £360
Farrier: £475
Vaccinations: £65
Back lady: £60
Stablezone: £150
Saddler: £30
Wormers: £55
Lessons: £600

Holy smoke that's £5315 a year and that doesn't include any vet's bills, or expensive visits to Ingatestone Saddlery!

Phew! This was scary working this out!

DIY livery- £1299.96
Insurance - £409.80
Farrier - £630 (based on £70 every 6 weeks)
Livery extras - £1620 (Hay, straw, feed, wormer etc)

Vaccs - £50 (guessing as I can't remember what it cost)
Lessons - £360 (£15 every 2 weeks)

Works out to be a grand total of..... £4419.76 which doesn't include any tack, rugs and essential tack shop trips or ebay impulse buys!
