My mums dog Buffy (Blonde one in siggy) has got a tumor on her chest. Vet says theres 50% chance it is cancerous.

She is only 5 and still as hyper as when she was a pup.

Has anyone had any experiences with this kind of thing and how did it turn out??

Anyway, the vet is ringing back with an appointment for her to have it removed - can you send her some hugs and good luck please guys?? xx

BB; I had a 6 year old dog who had cancer; unfortunately for him, it was attached all the way along his spine, onto his liver and kidneys. It was a desperately sad time for me as I chose to have my dog put to sleep because there was no hope whatsoever and I didn't want him to go through any pain.

If your dogs tumour is not attached to any organ then I would think that so long as she survives the anaesthetic and the recovery period, she should be okay.

I know what a harrowing time you will be going through and I'm sending you my very best wishes.

BB.....if I read your PM right you are describing a mammary tumour...not chest tumour, I have explained as....I replied...but I dont know if u got it kept saying send all the bloody time...when I have ...LOL...let me know

Sending you loads of good luck vibes. I've got a Buffy too! If it is a mammary tumour I have known of quite a few cases where they hae been successfully removed, although I think there is always a risk of more forming. As long as you have spotted it in good time she will hopefully make a good recovery.
