I am quietly on the lookout for a treeless saddle for me and my pony. So nothing too big, as I'm tiny and my pony is only 14.1hh and short in the back. That rules out quite a few makes/sizes of treeless, as although I know you can have them sitting a bit further back on their backs, I don't want him to look like he's "oversaddled" if you know what I mean?

Any advice on makes/types and where I can find one, or trial one, or borrow one (even better!), that would be great. I would probably prefer to go with one of the known makes/better named treeless but not the very very expensive ones. Thanks.

Do a search, lots of good threads on here.

Thanks, yes that's sort of my thoughts I guess - better to get a good 2nd hand at more money than a cheaper new one.

Will do a search on treeless and see what info I can get. I think my choices will be quite limited once I go through the list.

c2b, thanks for the link, I quite like the dressage saddle, but would say it's probably bigger than I want? Would you say it looks like a 17.5" rather than a 16.5" saddle? I'm not a member on there so don't think I can contact seller? I'm based near Thame, M40 jct 7 on the Bucks/Oxon border - normally miles and miles from anyone LOL.
