Popple has always been a big fan of carrots, which is of course not abnormal for a dog. However, we have since discovered that she also likes, cabbage leaves, sprouts, parsnips, courgettes, and aubergines

In fact, she prefers them to bacon rind...

Are these bad for her?

Nope, not at all

I'd far rather more dogs ate veg than Bonios or other 'treats'.

I wish mine would eat that, I mixed lots of mashed up veggies in with B's food when he was on raw, he carefully picked out the meat and left the rest, picky sod!
Even covered in natural yoghurt, he still turned his nose up.

Phew! I had a look through the thread above, and couldn't see them listed there. We discovered rather by accident, but if they aren't bad for her, then I'm happy to keep letting her have pieces

Pops is not very food orientated. She is in fact very picky, but does seem to love her veggies, although I keep away from anything starchy, like potatoes. She really isn't interested in things like uncooked bacon, but crazy for fish, more than anything. She has had some tuna tonight as a treat

B gets tuna as a reward for tracking (at the end of the track, the box has something extra yummy in it)

I hope to reintroduce it when his skin settles down, he is on a very boring, plain, low-protein diet at the mo, he loved it.

I would think all those would be fine for her. Mine love carrots, if they are about when I'm doing horses feeds they usually nick them, and have a couple every morning as well. I would imagine the only downside of sprouts and cabbage could be the wind

Oh, what about haylage? Does that count? Mine have been scoffing up all the bits the hill farmers have dropped out of the back of their pick-ups when going up the mountain to feed the sheep

Pops goes mad for tuna!! She has it about once a week, but always when we are away shooting as she gets too excited to eat properly

I shall have to try and find a link for the feed I gave Puppy in her latter years. It was perfect for sensitive stomaches, and bad skin.

Oh yes, Popple is a terrible carrot thief!! I swear, she comes running to the sound of a bucket of carrots being shaken, faster than the horses do!

Surprisingly, she doesn't seem to suffer from wind

despite the fact she eats so much veg and eggs!

Star has VERY high quality haylage as the bulk of her diet, and I'm ashamed to say that whenever my back is turned Pop's goes straight for her poo!

Whereas she isn't really interested in Be's.

Mine like bananas (well and practically any other food really)! Well, the bitch does, our boy dog is fussy about anything and gives you a 'look' everytime you give him food as if it may be poisoned! However he's perfectly happy to chase, kill and eat rabbits! Think he'd be perfectly happy being 'wild'!

Leah likes everything except peas.

Last night I ate half my dinner and left the rest on the coffee table in the lounge, then went upstairs to read - you can see where this is going! Came back downstairs and Leah was looking a bit guilty, and where my jacket potato and beef stew had been there was just a plate with a few peas on it, licked completely clean.

She licks all the gravy off the peas and everything, but won't eat the peas themselves! Funny dog.

I couldn't tell her off because I hadn't caught her in the act, and besides, I'd just finished reading Marley & Me and was far too emotional to do anything more than cuddle her and tell her she is NOT allowed to die, EVER.
