On the subject of Riding hats, can anyone recommend me a good one?

Hi, depends on what fits you TBH. I would recommend going to a local tack shop and try a few. I like Champion hats ( take a 59) have had Charles Owen (57) but found the former a better fit for me. Xx
 
Both of my riding hats are Charles Owen.

Everyday I have the J3 skull. Really nice and comfy, head doesn't get hot or sweaty, except when it's super hot in summer time.

Competitions I have the Ayr 8. I think it's nice and smart, and same as above, head never sweats in it even in hot weather.

I have suggested the Wellington for my graduation gift :D

I only ever have CO hats though, as other makes don't tend to fit me very well.
 
Charles Owen hats don't fit me at all. I have to go up two sizes and then have the gaps padded out. The fitter seemed to think that wasn't a problem, but I was less sure. However it did mean that I discovered that I don't wear the biggest size available afterall. It gave me the most horrific mushroom head though!

I like gatehouse hats, so comfy.
 
Have the Charles Owen pro II and love it.
Have found you are either a Charles Owen or champion shaped head so best to go try them first :) x
