i have a cob x. a couple of months ago whilst in paddock on own his front right leg swelled up. it started at knee and went down leg, so vet came said most likely a infection gave anti-biotics and bute, box rest leg went after about a week.
then about 2 weeks ago again same leg swelled up again starting at knee and then down leg, vet came again and said he's probly knocked himself so more box-rest, injection and bute.
now knee has still got big bump on front, there is no lameness and never has been.
but would you ot expet vet maybe to do a blood test or something rule anything serious out??
he did say next port of call would be x-ray. now ive just had alot of work done to other horse bill amounting to around£1800 which insurance have covered, but this horse is not insured so do you think he's assuming he is in order make £££?
any thoughts welcome
choc biscuits if you got this far
