On the wettest day my horse got his rug off!

Went up the yard this evening to get my horse in only to find him standing there soaking wet with his full neck rug laying the middle of the field. How he had managed to get it off, I have no idea as the neck, chest and one stomach strap were still done up! He'd only broken one back strap. The clip on the other back strap was open (it occasionally sticks) so that may have come undone but it must have been a real Houdini act - and on the wettest day of the year too!

Tell me about it. My mare decided to escape twice from her field within an hour of me turning her out - meaning I had to wade through a flooded field to get her twice - and I have holes in my wellies!! GRRRRR!
