As the title says i am having to have a look for hay again.....

I have heard that the price has dropped due to a better second cut...but not mine, so i'm on the look out!
I need large bales or round ones and need delivery.... any tip offs would be great!

How many horses, I get round bales but they are £45 delivered and he will only deliver 4 at a time and can only collect them at weekends. I know of 3 small bale hay suppliers between £4.50 and £5 a bale it really hasnt dropped round here. Rosehall farm deliver haylage and its ok stuff or if you want to order more bulk for £45 delivered Little Munden Farm deliver the best quality haylage I have ever used! It honestly looks imported as thats part of their arable farming so they take good care of it :).

Well £45 is a lot better than £80 and not much more than i was paying last year!
I will have 8 to feed through winter but only but a few at a time as storage isn't great.
Thinking of going onto haylage, esp into deepest winter, all depends on owners though....

Ahh ok well if you want any numbers just PM me, I think Rosehall will deliver haylage in small amounts but not sure about Little Munden (I know they will deliver bulk) :). I will of course ask him first with the hay supply if he can supply a yard of 8 then pass on his number if you wish! Im not sure how much he has this year but I know he said hes got plenty to get through winter :)
