Am interested in seeing a 4yo who is currently entire. He hasn't served any mares to date. If I were to buy him he would need to be castrated. How long after before all the stallion feelings go?! I've only ever had one castrated and he ended up being a rig so am not entirely sure!

Depends. I had one who was immediately a different horse, and I mean IMMEDIATELY. But I'd give the average horse about 12 weeks to be behaving like a gelding, some take longer.

I think its been about five months since my pony was gelded and he is just settling down now, he was very very colt like for a good few months

Mine was gelded at 5, and he is very stallion-y! Lots of squeaking and neck arching, though it has never caused any problems, apart from getting a bit excited/distracted if he has to share the warm up ring with a mare that's in season.
