On Saturday we moved our horses to the winter field where there is quite abit of grass, not really lush grass but more than they were on. That evening i brought Bella my yearling in and her near hind fetlock was quite swollen, she was not lame there wasn't really any heat and i could not find any cuts or scabs.
I cold hosed it and put her to bed. Next morning it was still obviously filled from standing in, put her out in the hope that the swelling would go down as she is moving. Brought her in for tea p.m and it hadn't really gone down so turned back out as thought she would be better off, still no heat, lameness. Brought in again this evening and still not really any difference. So what could this be? It's not just slightly swollen, it's really quite big, but no lameness or heat really, could it be connected with the grazing?
