Elf I’ve just seen the news. Awful. I’m so very sorry. I hope he didn’t suffer. RIP
So sad to hear the news! He was an icon of Scottish racing!
Gutted to hear, so sorry to all involved.
It always came across that the team around him loved him and were endlessly proud of him.
We will always love him and will always, always be proud and thankful for what he did for us.
The day he won the National the boss sent a message through the group chat saying there would be a press day the following day for him. I said we had to invite the public too because they deserved to see their champion. And if we gave them 12 hours notice less people would turn up and mob us than if we gave them 48/72 hours notice we still had over 3500 people turn up! It was INSANE! Cars were parked nose to nose in the fields, all along the roads for over a mile in each direction, most of the village walked out to see him too. It was crazy! It really was!
Sadly there are only a handful of us left at the yard that were there that day as is the way with racing. But his legacy will always live on. We have his little sister running again next week who looks to have a bright future. Her name is Fox's Fancy.
