One for the dressage divas - Novice 21

Doing Novice 21(2002) at weekend, I have the test sheet for Novice 21(1994) Is it the same, does anyone know??

Also in the 15 metre half circle, returning to the long side, my boy is doing a flying change before trot, thinks he is very clever. I know to keep him bent over the leading leg, keeping weight to that side but is there a way to lessen the angle back to the track or any other tips? Thanks!!

For the counter canter, I would do some 5m loops from the track to get him maintaining the leg you want in the canter, gradually increading the angle to 10m loops.

Novice 21 has been removed i believe! and I would emagine its different I have a copy of 2001 if you want to compaire a couple of bits. If you do your half circle right at the top of the long side it lessens the degree to turn back so you ride it a bit more like a pear drop.

hope that helps,

Thank you both for your tips - I think the old 21 is now Novice 28?? Competition is being run by a little local club which is why I thought I'd try a Novice test. Having a lesson tomorrow so will run through the test and try the counter canter ideas.
