One last bit of greyhound spam (sorry.....!!!)

Ace had a bit of a 'greyhound standoff' with Marty tonight..... the resident male against the newcomer!.... when Ace showed an interest in sitting in Marty's armchair :o In the best traditions of the spaghetti western, the girls and I watched with baited breath, until Ace wandered off and Marty claimed his chair.

So I thought I'd better introduce Ace to his own sofa.... I had to lift him up, but he immediately got the idea :D

Love how happy they both look! We get musical chairs here occasionally, all done by standing still staring pointedly at the space occupied by another hound. The stand-offs are quite ritualised and end with the 'victim' either pointedly feigning sleep or getting up and moving to the recently vacated sofa space. I watch closely and can never see the signal that must herald either decision.
 
One of my cats steals everyone else's seats. This includes the other cat, the dog's and also mine. She gets very growly when she's moved and the other animals are afraid of her.

That used to be Flick bless her :) She was always the smallest but that never deterred her - if she wanted a place, she took it regardless of the present occupant :o It caused endless growling and flouncing, I miss it a lot :)

Some of them are such characters. The bigger the character, the better imo. I love a bit of sassiness.
