It's been just over a month that Miss Sugar has been mine and I couldn't be happier!
We had some teething problems, with leaving the field, sore feet (previous owner trimmed her too short), saddle shopping stress and mounting block issues. But everything has seemed to click the last week, no more faffing at the mounting block (though still working on her just walking off!), feet are 100% and getting her from the field is no problem anymore.
Her trot is more consistent, which I think is just because she's building muscle and is more balanced, and is just a delight to ride! Had a great lesson today and I am just beaming the whole time.
She has a lovely personality, is sweet but also likes to have an opinion
she also really likes checking herself out in the mirrors in one of the indoor arena's
I'm really looking forward to progressing in my lessons, and loving the fact that I can just pop down to the barn whenever I want for an extra ride.
