Alright guys, one more CC for me please! :o

I posted before about a bay gelding that I loved. But re-evaluating my own goals, I've realized he's not the one for me.

My own goals being that I want a project to bring along myself that could eventually compete at a low level as an allrounder, dabble over fences, dressage, hack out, etc.

Enter, Diesel. Yearling grey colt. Hauled around and shown in hand. Bathes, stands tied, good for farrier, quiet, etc. Definitely in my price range. I know we'd be going slowly since he's only coming two next spring, but I think with the way my career is going to go that that will be perfect. I'll have plenty of time to fuss over him and do groundwork, leading out etc, and then can back him as a three year old depending on how he's doing.

Have a look at his video for me?

Comment's welcome.

And cookies and chocolate to everyone putting up with yet another critique thread. ;)

I like him, he seems very quiet and easy going, plus intelligent and he really does listen to your commands/ voice.

Doesn't seem silly just looks like he'd get on with the job and I reckon he'd be a breeze to back :)

He moves nicely, well balanced, little short strided but no issues there.

He's nice :)

How nice to see a decent video rather than the terrorising of youngsters by chasing them round schools. I like him too. Looks a nice type who has been well schooled for his age. I wouldn't want to do too much more of that at the moment.

Thanks guys. It's always helpful to use other sets of eyes. I wouldn't be planning to work him much he's definitely too young to be going in circles round and round. The owner has said she worked with him slowl to get him where he is now and really only sends him round once or twice a week a few laps to keep him listening.

I also noticed he's a tad short strided but as we aren't aiming for the top levels of any sport I reckon that's not a huge fault in itself.

If things work out over the coming weeks I'm just excited to have something to fuss over and groom and muck out and lead around again! :)
