Can anyone remember what the guy is called who dresses in leather and thinks it is cruel to ride his horses? He used to ride but only bitless with a neck rope and play with his horses at liberty. I think there were videos of him on youtube in an indoor school or round pen.
He is in a country like Russia or one of the former Soviet states I think.

Someone put a picture of him on my facebook saying how you don't need a bit to achieve collection - it was a very ugly piaffe (not that I can do any sort of piaffe), but ugh, give me Kottas and a double bridle to watch any day! Anyway, now I can't remember his name and it is really annoying me.
 
Oh yes. Fascinating man, still unsure if I admire him or think he is a bit bonkers. Possibly both. Would love to see the research he says he has done which is the reason why he won't ride any more.

I just how he doesn't do quote as much high school moves with his horses as he is an doing in his promo videos. I think it's probably just showcasing the best he had got, but if he does do that much capriole and levade etc then it's pretty wearing on his horse's joints. Some might say far more than riding without doing those movements would be :o
