Just come on for a bit of a pointless moan to you good HHO folk, just had the worst schooling session with Tessy to date :( She is in season and instead of turning into your typical daemon mare she turns into a slug when ridden :o. She is in season at the moment but decided as the school was free to do a bit of work with her. Well then is started to snow.... I HATE SNOW WJFGJEAGAE
... anyhow..... i basically spent the entire hour we were there having an argument with this lazy sod who didn't want to do anything, which put me into a bad mood and it went downhill from there really  I know most of which was my fault for being in a bad mood but it's difficult when your mum is your instructor, its snowing and you cannot feel toes/fingers and your horse keeps putting dirty stops in :( I am a great believer on finishing on a good note so we did get a fantastic balanced canter with a smooth transition before calling it a day and plodding home.

Once home we have found Tess wanted to go swimming and so over night has knocked her water bucket over soaking most of her bedding so after i have finished eating and i know my fingers are part of my body i will be going out in the SNOW  to sift through her soggy bed

Why do i have horses again ?:D

Nice steamy cup of tea for those who listened to my rambling.

Sorry the schooling didn't go to plan :( If it's any consolation I lunged my horse yesterday and he spent most of the time trying to kill me
At least you finished on a good note, that's the important bit! :) And I'm with you on the snow...If it dares to come anywhere near me I'll be having words with Mother Nature :D ;)

I sympathise. My chap is just coming back after box rest. He's an Arab, I can't turn him out due to the injury in case he does it again, and he spent this morning's ten minutes loose in the school being silly with YO's warmblood in the field next door. It was windy, so I knew he would be frightened of everything this evening. Cue 30 mins of lunging to the point of dizziness with two attempts to leg it and numerous spooks. Finished up quite nicely, I believe because he was so tired. I'm supposed to get on him next weekend. Got back to the stable and he did the biggest wee ever on a nice clean bed.

The only thing to do is chuckle and say, in ten years who's gonna care.

Bless was he full of the spring air :D, oh god it was fun for the first day but now it needs to warm up, go away snow !

And take a deep breath, tomorrow is another day :D

So very true :D

If that's all you have to worry about I'd count yourself very lucky indeed.

Oh i know, im moaning about nothing :o should be lucky i have a horse at all, was a heat of the moment moan.

Ah that must have been difficult to watch:eek: hope everything sorts itself out with the poor chap, wise words there :D

Couldn't agree more.

We're getting there, hopefully stitches will be out soon and then the real healing can begin. Thank you very much :)

Of course if I had been riding a marish mare in the freezing snow I would also be grumpy, so you're let off ;)

xx
