Isn't it just lovely when you "find" a pony which was bred from a mare you owned?
On Sunday at the BRC Championships I was Tack checking in the Novice ring when I spotted the name of a pony I recognised.
Some years ago I went on holiday to Norfolk, and came home with a Welsh sec. B yearling. ( my Vet said that most people bring a stick of rock back from their holiday!) I kept her for a couple of years then sold her on to be broken and ridden. The person who bought her has bred 7 foals over the years from her and on Sunday I actually met up with one of them. It was a magic moment. So lovely to see the pony and to see how she was doing.
Sorry, a bit pointless but it was just so lovely to me.

as an aside I am still trying to trace another Welsh B I sold about 2004. Bureside Rhosyn or Rosie was her name. I've tried the WPCS and the Palomino Society but no one seems to have re registered her.
She is palomino (obviously) and would be 8 yrs this time.
Has anyone any tips as to how to trace a pony? I would just love to know how she is doing.

Can't help I'm afraid but that's a lovely story. Unfortunately my mare is too old to breed from and she has never had a foal. As I can't see any offspring, I'd love to see her siblings or parents (if they were still around)
