Here is a picture of me and Afleet Alex, who won the Preakness and Belmont 2 years ago. The public is not allowed to to tour his farm - I guess I am special.

I am loving Kentucky - IT IS AMAZING!!! I am sure I will be moving here sometime.

He is stunning. I am wondering why you were allowed to tour the farm?
Kentucky is full of horses, isn't it? And great scenery? I have never been there, but heard about it. What's the climate like?

Gorgeous horse (shame about the person pictured with him though

Not true, unless Dan has changed the rules in the last 3yrs. Pre-booked group visits can be arranged round nearly all the big farms in the LEX vicinity hun - also some will allow visits to their stallions for only one or 2 peeps. I went to 3C's about 4 times before I became someone over there........

Afleet Alex, stands at Gainesway. Three Chimneys as you mentioned is very welcoming to the public as most 'Kentucky' farms are, Gainesway from what people said is slightly different.

The weather out here is lovely - was 80 yesterday!!! The guy at Lane's End said the grass turned green last week, one can only presume that is for me.

Off to Three Chimneys today!

PMSL!!! So he does!! Just looked at the pic again closely!! I should recognise Gainesway, seeing as i used to work for the man who designed it!! Went there loads too! Did you get to meet Marion - he ROCKS!!! The stories that guy can tell you about the stallions that have stood there! The husband of one of my good friends used to work there - he did Blushing Groom!

Only 80, still quite cold then! What's the humidity like atm?

No, can't say I met him. Big first day at Three Chimneys - WOW. I saw Smarty Jones (saw him breed than actually met him), was in the same room as Dynaformer and came out with all my fingers (he has been known to bite them off), then I went over to the yearlings. I like yearlings they are really cute - looking after them is like babysitting.
