My horse has a one sides discharge from her nose. It's the colour of honey and queries from being watery to thick and slimy. The discharge does not smell. Her glands at the side of cheeks and under jaw are up on both sides. She does not have a temperature. 37.6. I phoned the vet for advice and she doesn't seem to concerned has just told me to watch for symptoms getting worse, a green discharge or increased temperature.

Any ideas what it could be?

Thanks little mj. She's still got a huge appetite although I swear she was dropping bits of her feed as she ate tonight. The vets coming out tomorrow anyway cuz I'm not happy with how swollen her glands are. She seemed a little quiet tonight but again I don't know if I'm looking for things that might not actually be there. (worry myself easily) from what I read the discharge would smell if it was infection?

Also a sinus infection can cause this kind of thing. Sometimes it smells but not always. Is her head swollen between her eyes at all - kind of like a slight hump?

I agree sounds like a sinus infection, the runny then thick thing sounds like me with hayfever, poor horsey :-( hopefully will clear up with antibiotics :-)
