One stop hoof potion

Just wondering if anyone has found one product for winter hooves which clears minor thrush and protects the hooves from the wet. I also want to stop nail holes tracking up and help keep the shoes on!
Maybe I’m being too demanding…

Slather it on to the sole and frog a couple of times a week and it keeps the feet in a much healthier state. Apparently the wetter the ground conditions the more effective it is.

Bit messy to apply, but it smells fresh and lovely!

I use the horse leads products, they seem exact copies of the Red Horse. They are cheaper, similar price for twice as much, when I last bought them. They are, in my opinion, equally as good

I find the Horse Leds hoof clay has far longer lasting properties than the Red Horse version (but I do also swear by the Red Horse hoof hardener).

Debra from Horse Leads is great from a customer service too, as she's recently helped me out with super quick postage when I needed something ASAP.

Horse leads seem to be as good as Red Horse.

Their clay is a bit thicker, which works better in some instances, and less well in others.

Also like the Effoll Winter Hoof gel. Which has applies a bit like a traditional hoof oil with a brush, so less messy.

I love the smell of it and your right you can still smell it for days.

I also use eucalyptus oil on the feet at well.

What about Keratex products? Hoof Gel sounds good? But would clear thrush?

I buy foot spray from the farming section of our local store. Cheap and easy to apply!

Years ago someone gave me a bottle of blue spray from Turfmasters and it was fab!! It's been hard to find again but I just found some last week finally and ordered several bottles (https://tri-ni.com/products/turfmas...jGitcKUItZmwgbxaK9RzKGzOdypjaMROa-PHribeGMdQz)

Field Paste is good but if the horse is on livery can be annoying to apply. I have also been trialing the Hedgewitch Frog & Sole saviour. Not sure whether it's actually working or not but it's expensive for thr small bottle that you get!!

I've always used field paste but it is a bit of a bugger to apply which can mean not doing it (for prevention not treatment!).

The thinner red horse paint on one is good and I actually use it.

It's also worth considering Hoof Armour. Treats thrush and coats the hoof in a flexible layer. Bit expensive but it'd be a once a month job and won't come off in the mud.
