Unlikely that any big names will be at the BD Nationals in an Olympic Year, normally tends to be quite disapointing.

No doubt lots of the top riders will be saving their top horses this year.

well if Carl and Laura have two GP rides a piece (does Carl still have Lecantos or whatever its name that was meant to go Euros was?!) I would expect/hope they would take the other to nationals maybe!??!

I think Carl will get it on Dolendo personally, but we'l see. Like you said, hes got Lecantos aswell which i should think he will be aiming at Olympics and Dolendo for the National Title again.

I cant believe how fickle people are about Dolendo. Poor Spencer has produced that horse for years and he has been robbed! I say Spencer for National Champion.

at the end of the day there are reasons why Dolendo has returned to Carl and although it is widely speculated gossip. Either way the ride is back with Carl for the foreseeable future and unless Spencer has another GP horse waiting in the wings of which i'm not aware or someone buys him another he can't realistically compete for the title.

At the end of the day riders lose horses when they are sold etc all the time this one has just slightly different circumstances to the rest...
