You are indeed correct!
Unfortunately, on the threads I seen recently, the poor newbies who are seeking advice (we are not talking about the obvious ones who come to provoke, those are easy to spot....) about genuine issues are treated rather roughly....
Not by me they aren't.
When I try to give advice, I do so sincerely.
I am sure everyone takes posts on their merits, whether from a newbie or a longer term member like myself; it is always a choice whether to reply to them or not.
As in RL, however, the better we 'know' someone, the easier it is to put their threads/posts into context.
For example, you seem to me to be the forum equivalent of 'Disgusted from Tunbridge Wells'.
