I have out an offer in for a 15.1 2 year old filly. Have watche her trot up myself and am good friends with seller. At the vetting today three things were picked up. First was her wolf teeth coming theough(didn't concern me) second was a possible sarcoid on the elbow which I obviously treatable, and lastly was a very very slight lameness behind on a straight line. Could this be due to growing or being cooped in a stable for days previous? I'm not sure whether to ignore the fail and go ahead as she is a gorgeous moving horse an lovely nature or leave.

if you really like her have her re-vetted again in 2 weeks, if she fails and you still buy her with sarcoids and being lame behind then the vetting was a waste of time and money surely.

The seller was rather silly keeping her stabled for several days, that is enough to make even a youngster stiff or she may have knocked herself, so on that I would get her checked again under better circumstances.
The sarcoid is only suspected, I had a vetting recently where the vet suspected a sarcoid, it was just a tiny scab and certainly nothing more but they do seem to cover themselves just in case, so again I would get that looked at, it may well just be a slight scrape that has not healed yet.

If the seller is a friend and there is no rush I would get those points looked at in a few weeks, obviously the wolf teeth are totally irrelevant as they can come out later if required and most horses will have them at some point.

Thank you this is why I'm not bothered about the sarcoid, my current horse was suspected for a number of them turns out it was just baldness from rugs etc obviously the mare is still growing! Thank you! Will probably either get re vetted or seriously looked at!x
