Now .. Ted ALWAYS follows me around his stable .. but when let loose he wanders off and I generally have no hope of catching him unless he's been out a while. But today I though "ahh stuff it" and let him loose in the school .. He cantered off, had a few excited leaps and bucks in the snow and then had a roll. While he was rolling I noticed one of the jumps we jumped yesterday was all over the place and the poles were poking out and if he was the run away from me and canter past the jump he'd hurt himself .. if he went over the jump he probably wouldve still hurt himself. So I ran across the school to sort it out and as I was running I could hear steps behind me. Looked over my shoulder and there was Ted trotting after me

at first I thought he might have been chasing me away but his ears were right forward and wehn I stopped he did .. I carried on running and he trotted after me

I love it when they follow you, it's so cute. Scooby will follow me if he thinks I have food... if he's already munching on a haynet though, I have no hope of getting his attention.

My old boy, also called Ted does the same thing only, he can put in a sneaky buck or kick (not near me but directed towards me), don't believe he would deliberately hurt me, but sometimes just can't contain his excitement and forgets the fact that he weighs 500kg more than I do!

After lunging him he will follow me loose around the school, doing 3 loop serpentines and figures of eight. It's only if I run that he finds it all way too exciting.
