OOOO what would you do!!

Worth the gamble as not much money. Not sure if I'd wait till he was fat and well fed cause he might be full of him self and feel tooo good. I'd get on with him, you could be well away by the end of summer,

I knew you would give me an honest answer LOL!!

I'd give it a go, he's not majorly expensive and he has done the work.

He's 10 so prob not straight off the track. I started riding my ex racer when he was 12 and he'd not done proper work for ages.

He will need bringing back into work but for the owner to know that he has 3 good paces he's jumped and hunted then he clearly doesn't need re training.

You will only know once you've been to see him.

I agree with BB too, he's not that young so I don't see that he'd be worth that much if you brought him on anyway, and not that cheep either - you could probably get a younger one for less.

Also, if he can only do 2'6" as a ten yr old and isn't schooled on the flat it will be a lot of work for you - what would you want to do with him?

Im surprised you are considering that sort of horse AGAIN

You have to ask yourself.

DO i have the time?
DO i have the money to afford to feed a horse this?
DO I want to have to RE school a horse?
DO i have the money to afford to pay for training?

You may as well spend more on a horse that you can have fun on and ride NOW!
1200 quid but it doesnt end there......

Come the winter then what?

Cant you ride Carolines ponies??

I would be concerned that the fact it hasn't been ridden for 6 months is to hide some soundness issues (guess I'm always rather suspicious). Also no ridden pics. How long was it's racing career?

I bought one quite similar, although it was in light work..it depends on what you want to do, this obviously isn't going to set the world alight but you wouldn't expect it to at that money.
