We did our last hunter trial of the season at Warren Barn Farm with the Warlingham Horse Club on Sunday, a nice easy course we've jumped many many times out with the mock hunt... all started well, Clover was raring to go and we were flying... half way round coming down the hill towards the water my number bib started coming loose, the shoulder straps came undone and everything was flapping around scaring Clover and completely losing me my concentration... I turned for the next jump, thought in the back of my mind "that looks quite big" but thought nothing much of it and over we sailed... carried on and completed the course, the number bib now on the floor... walked back onto the course with my pony to collect my bib later and a couple of the jump judges called to me and laughed 'oh my god you're the girl who jumped the big hedge!!' - Turns out I had jumped the very much larger hedge slightly further along from the one I was supposed to have jumped!! So technically eliminated but jumped a hedge my mum, when standing next to it from take off side, could not see over!!

Even better, the photographer managed to get it on camera!!

Ah I was down there watching a friend on sun.....but I missed seeing you jump rather large hedge!!

All looks like you did it completely effortlessly - how did you do?

He he fantastic!!!

I have done that one on the hunts and the photographer got me to and I was like phew never have to do that again, needless to say I have thanks to my hip flask!

Bet you feel brilliant though, if you are going to be eliminated what better way to do it - well done!!!

I still can't believe I never clicked that it wasn't the right one - it really did look quite large on a 14hh pony!! Was so pleased with her though, her confidence is clearly soaring at the moment, she certainly wouldn't have jumped that quite so confincingly a year ago when I first started riding her, and before that she was just a riding school pony trotting over cavaletti's

My mum has told me for ten years she was sure that pony had an amazing jump and so much more to give -and that I really ought to give her a go - I'm so glad I finally did!!

still kinda annoyed that I didn't jump the right one and therefore go clear but hey ho, these things happen when you're dippy!! (And your blasted number bib distracts you!!) Clinton is doing fine, I've got to try and clip him and a couple of the other fluffies on friday i think so that should be interesting!!

ohhh i love her she is SO fabulous!! Well done i think they should have given you a joker prize haha! you are so brave and lucky they got it on camera i would have been gutted if it was me and there no evidence to prove it haha!

are you going out with them on 18th nov?? we are going to go along we need a bit of a speed fix

LOL you nutter, that hedge is huge, we went on that Sunday too, I remember seeing the hedge when we walked the course on the Saturday.
